An award-winning photographer of America’s distinct beauty, CRAIG VARJABEDIAN immerses himself in its landscapes and cultures, making images that eloquently express his discoveries in light and form. In 1991, Varjabedian co-produced a PBS Emmy award winning film about his photographic work titled En Divina Luz: The Penitente Moradas of New Mexico. Several books of his photographs have been published by the University of New Mexico Press and include En Divina Luz: The Penitente Moradas of New Mexico, Four & Twenty Photographs: Stories from Behind the Lens, and Ghost Ranch and the Faraway Nearby, which received a prestigious Western Heritage Award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. His upcoming book Landscape Dreams, A New Mexico Portrait will be published in Fall 2012. His photographs are widely exhibited and collected and he has received numerous grants. Craig teaches photography workshops at the Eloquent Light Photography Workshops in Santa Fe, Arizona, and California.
