PORTFOLIO BOOK SERIES No. 1

For some time now, Craig has been experimenting with the idea of creating intimate collections of his photographs—albums or portfolios of images carefully chosen to explore and present a single theme or idea.

We are thrilled to announce our new limited edition PORTFOLIO BOOKS, an ongoing series of printed books that present themed collections of images by photographer Craig Varjabedian. These soft-cover books are beautifully printed on gorgeous paper using the latest cutting-edge printing technology.

The inaugural volume, Portfolio Book No. 1: The Gifts of Fleeting Grace, contains 20 carefully selected photographs. The book includes a thoughtful essay by writer and photographer Brody Q Scotland that explores the motivations behind Craig's photographic work. The book is 28 pages, measures 10” x 11” and each copy is autographed by the photographer.

From the photographer:
The photographs I make are truly gifts being given. Those amazing confluences where light and feeling seem to magically intertwine and something beautiful is revealed, the shutter of the camera is released and a miraculous photograph is achieved. These photographs must be gifts for I can think of no other way to explain how these moments present themselves in my work. I have come to believe they are moments of grace—miraculous gifts that seem unearned yet are gratefully received.

There will only be 40 copies of The Gifts of Fleeting Grace offered for sale, just in time for the holidays. Each soft-cover book is signed by the photographer and will be packaged carefully for shipment. The Gifts of Fleeting Grace is only available through our studio store.
